WHAT’S IN A NAME?

 
When we were starting out as a business and looking for that catchy name, we stumbled across an old Latin quotation. Well, obviously it was old, it was in Latin. Here it is:

“An nescis, mi fili, quantilla sapientia mundus regatur?”

Luckily it came with a translation. It translates as:

“Don't you know then, my son, how little wisdom rules the world?”

It struck a chord with us. We thought how wonderful it would be if we could spread a little wisdom of our own. So we took the second part, the ‘quantilla sapienta mundus regatur’ bit, abbreviated it, and QSMR was born.

We’ve resisted the temptation to include a list here of famous quotes about wisdom. There are plenty of other websites that do that already. We’ll stick with just one definition.

Wisdom: the knowledge of what is true or right coupled with just judgment as to action.
